About 9,500 devotees participated in this year's Peñafrancia Traslacion procession on Friday, September 8, in Naga City.

"As per the official assessment conducted by the Joint Operations Center (JOC), the final crowd estimate for this year’s Traslacion procession reached an astonishing 950,000 devotees gathered to catch a glimpse of our beloved Divino Rostro and Ina," the Naga City Government said in a Facebook post.

The Pontifical Mass was held at the Quadricentennial Arch.

Every year, Naga City celebrates the transfer of the image of Our Lady of Peafrancia from the Basilica Minore to the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral.

The theme for this year is "A Renewed Church Journeying with Christ, Through Christ, and In Christ."

Meanwhile, the Naga City Government has prepared and scheduled different events for the festival.
