President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Dante Francis "Klink" Mariano Ang II as the new Chairperson of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO).

"Pursuant to the provisions of existing laws, you are hereby appointed Chairperson of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas, vice Romulo V. Arugay," reads the appointment paper dated October 16 and signed by the President.

Ang is the chairman and CEO of The Manila Times, one of the oldest and most widely read newspapers in the Philippines.

The CFO is a government agency in the Philippines that aims to promote and protect the interests of Filipinos living abroad.
