The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced on Tuesday, July 20, that four players of TNT Tropang Giga tested positive for the 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

The positive test results forced the PBA to postpone the game between TNT and the Magnolia Pambansang Manok Hotshots on Wednesday, July 21, in accordance with the health and safety protocols of the league.

"Four TNT Tropang Giga players have returned tests that were either positive or needs to be confirmed for COVID-19 under government approved league protocols. They are now isolated and will be tested again," the PBA said in a statement.

"The rest of the team who tested negative are also isolated will be retested," the league added.

The PBA also decided to move the game between the Terrafirma Dyip and Alaska Aces on Wednesday since the former team played against TNT on Saturday, July 17.

PBA said that all members of Dyip have tested negative for COVID-19 but they will still need to undergo isolation and retesting for the said respiratory illness.
