Pasig City is set to give out new uniforms and school supplies to its students from kindergarten through twelfth grade on August 1 to 5.
"Sinimulan natin ito nung simula ng Hulyo, pero mula sa feedback ng Deped SDO (Department of Education Schools Division Office)/schools, mas madali daw kung gagawin ito habang Regular Class Schedule para kumpleto ang mga bata pati na rin teacher," Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said in a Facebook post.
("We started this during the beginning of July, but based on the feedback of the DepEd SDO and schools, it would be easier to do it during the regular class schedule so the children and teachers are complete.")
"May leather shoes at rubber shoes din tayo ngayong taon. Nakita ko na ang mga sample at natuwa ako sa quality," he added.
("We also have leather shoes and rubber shoes this year. I saw the samples and was pleased with the quality.")
The students will be measured for two types of uniforms: the regular school uniform and for Physical Education. They will also receive leather and rubber shoes.
Aside from uniforms and shoes, bags, umbrellas, notebooks, writing pads, and writing implements such as pencils, ballpens, rulers, as well as pencilcases will be distributed to students.
The specific date of distribution will be announced by the schools themselves.
