Pasig City launched its vaccination drive on Tuesday, one day ahead of the government’s three-day jab initiative.

Pasig in an announcement on Monday said it will launch its vaccination drive starting December 14 until December 17.

"Layunin ng National Vaccination Days na mas mapalawig pa ang maabot ng COVID-19 Vaccination Program at mas mapataas pa ang bilang ng mga mabibigyan ng proteksyon mula sa COVID-19 sa pamamagitan ng pagbabakuna," said the city in a statement on Facebook.

(The goal of the National Vaccination Days is to expand the reach of the COVID-19 Vaccination Program and increase the number of people who will get protection from COVID-19 through the jabs.)

Members of the general adult population from A1 to A5 may register onsite and get their vaccines at the Pasig Mega Parking II, Buting Elementary School, Sagad High School, and Arcovia from 8AM to 3PM.

For minors who have yet to receive their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, they may get their jabs and register onsite at the Tanghalang Pasigueño and Manggahan High School from 8AM to 3PM.

Minors need to be with their parent or legal guardian or will have to present an authorization letter if they cannot be accompanied by their parents.

They also need to bring with them their birth certificate, the PasigPass QR Code of the minor, and a valid ID of the parent.

Meanwhile, booster shots will be available at the Pasig Mega Parking II (Moderna), Buting Elementary School (Moderna), Manggahan High School (Pfizer), Sagad High Shool (Sinovac), and Arcovia (AstraZeneca).

Administration of booster shots will be on a first come, first served basis, and will start at 8AM and end at 3PM. Those eligible to get their booster shots are those who received their second dose from April 4 to June 17 and those who received a Janssen shot in July and August.

Pasig's vaccination drive came one day ahead of the country's second leg of the country's Bayanihan Bakunahan 2, which will begin on Wednesday and end on Friday.
