The Pasig City Government has strongly condemned a viral incident involving a group of students that escalated into a stabbing, leaving two individuals injured.

In an official statement, the local government unit (LGU) confirmed that authorities are already investigating the case.

"The City Government of Pasig does not condone acts of violence. We are coordinating closely with the Pasig Police and the Schools Division Office of Pasig as they investigate this matter," the statement read.

The Pasig LGU also urged the public to refrain from sharing videos of the incident online to protect the students involved.

In a report by Edniel Parrosa on Dos Por Dos, all seven minors linked to the brawl are now in police custody. These minors, students from Rizal High School, range from Grades 7 to 10.

According to Rizal High School Principal Richard Santos, one injured student is in stable condition, while the other requires surgery after being stabbed in the lung.

"Our school is fully committed to conducting a thorough investigation to uncover any underlying issues that may have contributed to this incident," Santos said in a statement.

Santos also revealed that the school administration will hold a meeting to discuss the incident further.

"We have activated our child protection committee kung saan magkakaroon ng meeting ngayong umaga para pag-usapan yung mga possible na infraction, yung mga naging paglabag ng ating mga kabataan sa insidente," Santos said.

He added that the school’s recommendations will be based on the existing guidelines of the Department of Education.

Santos noted that parents may be held accountable if it is proven they had direct knowledge of their child’s unlawful act.

In the viral video, it can be seen that after the chaos, a student is bloodied after being stabbed during the brawl.

According to the Pasig City Police, only one of those involved was stabbed using a recovered folded knife.

It was learned that the argument, which began inside the school, eventually escalated into a brawl outside.

Santos admitted that checking all students' belongings is difficult due to the school's large population.
