In an advisory on Wednesday, the Pasay City Public Information Office said all the employees of Pasay City Hall will now be working from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The move was made following the order of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) under Resolution No. 24-008 S-2024 and Executive Order No. 48 S-2024 issued by Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano.
"Mula sa nakasanayang 8 to 5pm na standard working hour, magiging alas-7:00 na ng umaga ang pasok at matatapos tuwing alas-4:00 ng hapon upang mabuo ang walong oras na trabaho," the advisory read.
Meanwhile, Pasay LGU noted that there will be only a slight adjustment for the "frontline offices" to ensure that until 5:00 pm they can still meet the needs of the public. This will last until June 30, 2024, until the staff gets used to the earlier start.
"Habang sa mga hindi kasama sa "frontline offices", ipatutupad na ang 7 to 4pm working hours sa pagnanais ng MMDA na maibsan ang suliranin sa matinding pagsisikip ng trapiko sa Metro Manila tuwing rush hours o uwian ng mga estudyante at mga manggagawa," it remarked.
