The Pasay City government issued an official statement acknowledging public concerns raised in a viral video regarding faded and unclear road markings along Roxas Boulevard near the EDSA Heritage Flyover.

In the statement, the city recognized the right of motorists and the public to express observations, particularly on matters affecting road safety. The Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) confirmed that several road markings were affected by prolonged heat and ongoing road works.

Pasay City said the TPMO has coordinated with national agencies, including the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), to conduct inspections and immediately undertake repainting and restoration of the affected markings.

While restoration is ongoing, the city announced the temporary suspension of apprehensions in the affected areas and deployed traffic enforcers to assist motorists. The local government also urged the public to report concerns through proper channels for prompt and systematic action.

The statement reaffirmed Pasay City’s commitment to transparency, safety, and public order.
