After the success of "Ang Huling El Bimbo The Musical," theatergoers can anticipate another jukebox musical, this time, featuring the hit songs from OPM band Parokya ni Edgar in 2024!
The upcoming musical performance was teased by the Full House Theater Company during the final curtain call of Ang Huling El Bimbo The Musical (AHEB) held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on Sunday, July 23.
In a clip shared by Dingdong Novenario, writer of Eraserheads-inspired musical, AHEB's cast and creative team can be heard singing Parokya ni Edgar's 1997 hit "Harana."
Behind them, a video played showing icons that can be associated with the band's other tracks like a guitar for "Harana," a slice of pizza for "Picha Pie," a mustache for "Mr. Suave," two bottles of beer for "Inuman Na," and a chicken (or a bird) for "Don't Touch My Birdie."
"Abangan 2024" is scribbled towards the end of the video.
Other details have yet to be revealed by Full House Theater Company.
The crowd favorite AHEB, a musical that featured some of the music of the OPM band Eraserheads, ran its 175th show on July 23 wherein the casts from 2018 and 2019 reunited for a group photo.
The musical followed the "friendship of Joy, Hector, Anthony, and Emman as they navigate life."
