Gilas Pilipinas had a full turnout with 16 players attending their first practice after returning from the team's European training camp.

Bobby Ray Parks, Calvin Oftana, and Roger Pogoy, who missed the training camp due to injuries, rejoined Gilas and practiced with the rest of the team on Thursday night at the Meralco gym.

Despite heavy rainfall, the high number of attendees provided a significant boost to the national squad, which had suffered injuries to Scottie Thompson, Dwight Ramos, and AJ Edu during their tune-up games in Estonia and Lithuania.

Coach Chot Reyes expressed satisfaction with the turnout and announced that 5-on-5 scrimmages would begin in the team's upcoming practice.

"We have 16 players (now). Ang hindi lang naman nakakalaro si Roger (Pogoy). So we have 3 sets of five. OK naman din," said the Gilas coach.

Gilas will continue training in the Philippines for the next two weeks before traveling to China in August for a mini-pocket tournament.
