Park Shin Hye, Park Hyung Sik to reunite for new medical drama

Top Korean actors Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik will lead a new drama titled "Doctor Slump," according to a report on Wednesday, November 30.

In a statement, Shin Hye's agency SALT Entertainment said that the actress received the offer to star in the drama and is positively reviewing the offer which is similar to the response of P&Studio, Hyung Sik's agency.

"Doctor Slump" is a romantic-comedy drama that talks about doctors who live in a rooftop house after quitting their jobs as doctors, trying to resuscitate their lives.

In this rom-com drama, Park Shin Hye is reportedly taking the role of Nam Ha Neul while Park Hyung Sik has been offered the role of Yeo Jung Woo.

Shin Hye married Choi Tae Joon and welcomed their first child earlier this year.

The said drama will be her first medical drama since her 2016 performance in the hit drama "Doctors", as well as her first project since becoming a mother.

Park Hyung Sik will also be making his medical drama debut after his impressive projects, such as “What Happens to My Family?,” “Hwarang,” “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” and "Happiness."

The two actors have previously worked together in the popular drama "Heirs."

"Doctor Slump" is reported to start filming next year after completing the cast and the broadcasting details have yet to be confirmed.
