"What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?" actress Park Min-Young has been summoned to court as a witness in the ongoing police investigation of his ex-boyfriend's criminal case.
Min-Young's agency Hook Entertainment clarified this in a press statement released on Wednesday.
"Park Min Young dutifully completely the prosecution summons for investigation as a simple witness," it said.
The clarification comes after media outlets reported that the 36-year-old actress is summoned by prosecutors for allegedly being involved in her ex-boyfriend Jong Hyun's fraudulent acts.
Apart from this, the agency also made it clear that Min Young has no travel ban which means she is not prohibited from leaving South Korea.
"We apologize for delivering bad news in these difficult times, and we apologize for delaying our response regarding this [issue]," it said.
Korean authorities arrested Jong Hyun last February 2 for allegedly manipulating his company's stock in order to acquire huge profits, according to Korean media reports.
He is facing charges of embezzlement, fraud, and stock manipulation.
In September last year, media outlet Dispatch revealed that the actress had a relationship with a wealthy businessman, but have broken up.
