Actor-comedian Paolo Contis became serious and teary-eyed while talking about his fear of getting hate from his daughters during Friday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."
In the first part of the interview, the veteran host directly asked Contis' reaction to people's comments about his relationship cycle from falling in love, fathering a child, and breaking up with his ex-wife Lian Paz and ex-partner LJ Reyes.
"Every time na nasa relationship ako, I really love the person and I think saksi naman 'yung mga tao how I love. Sobrang bigay todo naman ako magmahal," the actor answered.
Contis said that he was owning up to his mistakes by reaching out and apologizing to those he had hurt in private.
According to him, healing and forgiveness may take time, and he lacked maturity back then because the actor felt like he was too young and later on realized that he needs to fix what he did wrong as he is now turning 39 years old.
When asked on providing financial support to his children, Contis revealed that he has not actively given "sustento" to his children, and actually saving for them so he could give it to them straight.
As soon as the subject transitioned to his daughters Xonia, Xalene, and Summer, Contis cannot help but broke down in tears.
"Takot na takot," he replied when Abunda prodded the question about Contis being hated by his daughters.
"'Yung sa dalawa ko, gusto kong bumawi. 'Yung kay Summer biglaan kasi eh. It doesn't make me love Summer more. Lahat silang tatlo mahal ko syempre. Pero doon sa dalawa, medyo malalim-lalim na 'yung pagkukulang ko. So, hindi ko sila masisisi," he stated.
He admitted that one of his greatest fears is to get hate from his daughters.
Contis did not get the opportunity to grow more love with his third child, Summer, as Reyes temporarily moved to New York, months after their separation went public in 2021.
