Following earlier reports, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) has confirmed that Indonesian authorities have arrested dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, also known as Guo Hua Ping.
According to PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio, Senior Superintendent Audie Latuour of the Indonesian police stated that Guo was arrested early this morning in Tangerang City, Jakarta, Indonesia.
“Senior Superintendent Audie Latuour of the Indonesian police confirms that Alice Guo (also known as Guo Hua Ping), was arrested in Tangerang City, Jakarta, Indonesia, at 01:30 on September 4, 2024,” PAOCC said in a press statement on Wednesday.
“She is currently in the custody of the Indonesian Police at Jatanras Mabes Polri,” PAOCC added.
Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco is now coordinating with Indonesian immigration officials to ensure Guo's swift return to the Philippines after she illegally fled the country in July with her siblings.
