The Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) said on Thursday that reports of November 3 being declared a holiday is "fake."
In a brief statement to reporters, the OES said that both October 31 and November 3 are not considered holidays. This comes following reports circulating on osical media saying that the Palace had suspended work that day.
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. earlier declared Monday, October 30, 2023, as a special non-working day for the observance of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.
Meanwhile, November 1 is observed as a special non-working day for All Saints' Day, and November 2 was declared an additional special non-working day.
Press Secretary Cheloy Garafil earlier said that the Palace has no plans of delcaring October 31 as holiday.
October 31 falls on a Tuesday, and November 3 on a Friday.
