Malacañang Palace has suspended the classes at all work levels in both private and public and government work in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Friday, September 1, due to inclement weather.
The suspension was enclosed under Memorandum Circular No. 30 dated and released on August 31.
"The suspension of work for private companies and offices if left to the discretion of their respective heads," the order reads.
However, work in the agencies serving basic and health services, providing disaster and calamities response, and those are offering vital services shall continue.
The Memorandum Circular was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin for President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.
According to the state weather bureau, heavy rains due to the enhanced southwest monsoon will be felt in Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro from Friday until Sunday.
Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Calamian Island, and Antique will likewise experience continued heavy rainfall.
