Malacañang Palace has declared work suspension in the executive branch of the government on Monday, September 25 in celebration of the 31st family week.

Under Memorandum Circular No. 32 dated September 21 and released on September 22, there will be no work in government offices in the executive branch starting 3 PM onwards.

“This Office also encourages all government workers in the Executive branch to fully support the programs and activities relative to the observance of Family Week, as organized by the National Committee on the Filipino Family,” the order reads.

The work, however, continues in the agencies that are serving basic and health services, disasters and calamities response, and other vital services.

Meanwhile, Malacañang encourages suspension in other branches of government, including those independent commissions or bodies, and in private sectors in order for families to fully celebrate the family week.

The order was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin with the authority of President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.
