Comelec starts voter registration for 2025 Midterm Election

The Commission on Election (Comelec) officially commenced the voter registration for the 2025 Midterm Election today, February 12, which is declared as National Voters Day.

According to Comelec, the voter registration will run until September 30, 2024.

Filipinos can register as voters, reactivate their accounts, and do other transactions at the Comelec Office of Election Officer in their respective areas, mall registration sites, or in Register Anywhere Program sites from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Saturday, including Holidays.

The poll body reminded applicants to bring any of the following valid identification cards (ID):

  1. Philippine Identification Card (PhilID) or national ID
  2. Postal ID
  3. PWD Discount ID
  4. Student's ID or library card, signed by the school authority
  5. Senior Citizen's ID
  6. Driver's license
  7. NBI clearance
  8. Passport
  9. SSS/GSIS ID
  10. Integrated Bar of the Philippine ID
  11. License issued by the Professional Regulatory Commission
  12. Certificate of Confirmation issued by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples in case of members of ICCs or IPs
  13. Any other valid ID.
  14. NBI clearance

The application form can be downloaded from Comelec's official website or obtained from the Comelec Office of Election Officer.

Meanwhile, voter education and registration fair were commenced at the National Shrine of Our Mother Perpetual Help in Baclaran, Parañaque City, as per RH Christian Maño's report on DZRH Damdaming Bayan.

This is said to be the first time that the National Shrine of Our Mother Perpetual Help holds voter education and registration.
