In a report by Noche Cacas during Dos Por Dos, the factory was identified as Diamond Factory Inc., owned by the Lebrilla-Aquino family.
Fire marshals' investigation showed that the fire started at 3:30 PM when a "bombshell" containing gunpowder exploded, causing the fire.
Paper tubes of fireworks scattered everywhere and made a severe impact on the area.
It was around 4:26 PM when the fire was declared out.
Two people were initially declared dead by authorities but later confirmed another fatality.
The injured victims were immediately brought to a hospital in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire as well as the validity of the factory's business permit.
