The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday reported that Palawan and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies and rain showers due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
In its weather bulletin, PAGASA said the ITCZ will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindana (BARMM), Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Palawan, with the danger of flash floods or landslides in these areas due to scattered mild to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.
The weather bureau warned that flash floods or landslides could occur during strong thunderstorms.
Moreover, PAGASA projected that the wind speed for Luzon and Visayas will be light to moderate, flowing southeast to southwest, with modest to moderate coastal seas.
Mindanao will have light to moderate winds blowing from the west to the southwest, with modest to moderate seas.
