by Mary Antalan01 November 2023

The low pressure area (LPA), shear line, Northeast Monsoon or amihan, and localized thunderstorms will cause rains over several parts of the country, PAGASA reported on Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Based on PAGASA's 3 a.m. bulletin, the LPA was seen over the coastal waters of Caramoran Catanduanes.

Meawhile, the shear line is affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon and the northeast monsoon is affecting the rest of Northern and Central Luzon.

Metro Manila, Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Bulacan, CALABARZON, Marinduque, and Camarines Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the LPA and shear line.

Cordillera Administrative Region, Nueva Ecija, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also caused by the Northeast Monsoon.

Visayas, Mindanao, the rest of MIMAROPA, and the rest of the Bicol Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

For wind and coastal water conditions, Luzon will have strong to moderate wind speeds moving in a northeastern direction, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate wind speeds moving in an east-to-northeast direction, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Sunrise is at 5:51 a.m., while sunset will be at 5:28 p.m.
