The PAGASA Planetarium in Quezon City is reopening this September after its renovation, the DOST-PAGASA announced on Saturday, September 6.
In a press release, DOST-PAGASA administrator Nathaniel Servando, Ph.D. said that the planetarium is now open to the public, as it has completed its renovation. They added that the renovated space will continue to offer educational and entertaining shows about basic astronomy and the night sky.
The place has a 90-seating capacity, which “serves as a venue for learning and understanding the universe by offering lectures on the basics of Astronomy and celestial navigation to students and the general public.”
The planetarium will be open from Monday to Friday, starting 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each person will be charged P25 for the admission fee.
Earlier this year, PAGASA launched the first Planetarium in Mindanao.
