Presidential aspirant Manny Pacquiao on Saturday said that he will establish a "People's Court" where corruption issues will be brought so they can get resolved.
"Ang gagawin po natin ay magcre-create po tayo ng isang … tatawagin natin itong People's Court. Magcre-create po tayo ng special court na lahat ng isyu ng korapsyon din pupunta," the senator said during the Bakit Ikaw: The Presidential Job Interview.
(What we will do is we will create what we call a People’s Court. We will create a special court where all issues of corruption will go.)
According to Pacquiao, this would help speed up the slow justice system in the Philippines and resolve cases within three months.
The senator also said that he will not hesitate to arrest Cabinet members, even members of his family if they are involved in corruption.
"Hindi lang Cabinet po, kahit yung mga kapatid ko na nasa gobyerno kung ma-involve sa korapsyon, sa harapan ng tao at sa Panginoon, sabihin ko sa inyo ako magpapakulong sa kanila," he said.
(Not only in the Cabinet, even my siblings in the government if they get involved in corruption, in front of the public and the Lord, I’m telling you I will arrest them.)
Pacquiao's younger brother Rogelio, is currently the deputy speaker and Sarangani representative. He is running as governor of Sarangani in the May elections.
