Carlo Paalam secured his return to the Olympics after deafeating Sachin Siwach of India at the semifinals of the Men's 57 kilograms class in the 2nd World Boxing Qualification Tournament in Bangkok Thailand
All five judges scored the bout on Saturday, June 1, in favor of the 2020 Olympics silver medalist.
Hergie Bacyadan also earned a ticket to the Paris Games after she bested Maryelis Yriza of Venezuela, 5-0, in the quarterfinals of the women's 75 kilograms division on Sunday, June 2, at the 2nd World Boxing Qualification Tournament.
Including Paalam and Baycadan, the Philippines now has five boxers who qualified for the Paris Games, which will formally open on July 26.
