Nearly 375 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of PHP7.6 million were confiscated from a vendor of used motorcycles through a police buy-bust operation in Lucena City.

According to a police report, Maj. Mendel Casao, chief of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), suspect Andrian Saludez, 34, of Barangay Isabang was a high-value individual (HVI).

He said that Saludez was apprehended after selling a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer.

The buy-bust operation was carried out by personnel from the Quezon PDEU, the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU)-Quezon, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 4A-Quezon, and the Lucena Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) inside Immaculada Subdivision in Barangay Isabang, according to Casao.

A criminal complaint against the suspect is being prepared for filing at the Office of the City Prosecutor here for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Art II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
