

Motorists should brace themselves and their wallets for another hefty price hike on petroleum products coming this Tuesday, September 19.
Several oil industry companies announced that there will be an over ₱2 per liter increase in gasoline, diesel, and kerosene due to the price changes in the international oil market.
In an advisory, SHELL Pilipinas announced the following adjustments, effective at exactly 6 AM:
- Gasoline - ₱2.00 per liter
- Kerosene - ₱2.00 per liter
- Diesel - ₱2.50 pero liter
Caltex Philippines Incorporated will have the exact price hike in gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. But it will implement it earlier, at 12:01 AM.
Meanwhile, in a separate advisory, Cleanfuel said it will implement ₱2.00 per liter and ₱2.50 per liter increase in gasoline and diesel, respectively.
The said price adjustment will be enforced at 4:01 p.m.
The year-to-date net increase for gasoline amounted ₱15.50 per liter, diesel at ₱11.10 per liter, and kerosene at ₱7.94 per liter, according to Department of Energy's (DOE) latest monitoring as of September 12.
