The remains of the 32-year-old Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), who was allegedly murdered in Saudi Arabia, arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Friday, October 13.
According to Christian Maño's live report in MBC Network News, the remains of Marjorette Garcia were welcomed by her family and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
Marjorette, a domestic helper, reportedly died on September 16 after sustaining multiple stab wounds.
Meanwhile, OWWA chief Ariel Ignacio promised to give assistance to the bereaved family, such as burial assistance, livelihood, and scholarships for her two children.
Ignacio assured that they would focus on Garcia's case to give it the justice it deserves.
The remains will be brought to her home in San Jacinto, Pangasinan.
Garcia will be given a hero's welcome on Saturday, as confirmed by the OWWA.
