The Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Tuesday warned the public against an email address appearing to be Vice President Sara Duterte’s and spreading fake messages.

“Nais ko pong linawin na ang email address na: vicepresidentsaraa@gmail.com ay hindi ko personal na account at hindi ito konektado sa ating opisina,” Duterte said in a post on the OVP’s official Facebook account.

Duterte urged netizens to be discerning and wary of any messages received from this impersonator. She cautioned against responding with sensitive information and granting appeals made through the said email.

“Ang lahat ng opisyal na komunikasyon mula sa aking tanggapan ay ipinapadaan lamang sa ating mga beripikadong social media pages at opisyal na email address: vp@ovp.gov.ph,” the vice president said.
