The Office of the Vice President (OVP) has launched its tenth satellite office, this time in the Bicol Region.
According to the OVP, the satellite office may currently provide more services than the central office.
The OVP's most frequently requested service was the Medical and Burial (MAB) Aid Program.
In a message sent to reporters on Wednesday night, the OVP said it may now serve underprivileged Filipinos in Region V after opening its tenth satellite office here.
The Region V satellite office is located on Alternate Road in the ANST III Building.
According to Vice President Sara Duterte, the development of satellite offices will give access to the government's initiatives.
The inauguration of the tenth satellite office follows a warning from the Commission on Audit (COA) for purchasing equipment for satellite offices without following correct procurement processes.
In its defense, the OVP stated that the COA issued no notice of suspension or disallowance for the acquisitions.
