Regional and city drug operatives seized over PHP2.48 million of shabu in three separate operations, resulting in the arrest of three suspects, two of whom were considered high-value individuals from two barangays in Iloilo City.
The suspects were identified using data provided by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6). Michael V. Seguiter, 35, of Barangay Infante, and Earl O. The operatives seized 20 sachets of shabu from Seguiter, a high-value individual in the top ten, and three sachets from Decla, a street-level individual, all weighing more or less 160 grams and valued at PHP1.088 million.
In another buy-bust operation conducted Tuesday night, the Iloilo City Police Office-PDEU arrested Gemar M. Gevero, 35, a high-value target. He was found with approximately 25 grams of shabu, with a standard drug price of PHP 170,000.
A subsequent search in his rented room in the early hours of Wednesday morning resulted in the recovery of 36 sachets of shabu worth PHP1.224 million.
The three suspects are now being held in custody at the Molo and Arevalo Police Stations pending the filing of cases for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
