Otom ends Paralympics debut with fifth place finish

Flipina swimmer Angel Otom missed out on a podium finish anew in the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France.
Otom clocked in 45.78 seconds and finished at fifth place in the finals of the women's 50 meters butterfly - S5 event on Friday, September 6.
Chinese swimmer Dong Lu won the gold medal and set a new world record after finishing with a time of 38.98 seconds.
Shenggao He of China placed second with a time 38.98 seconds while Sevilay Ozturk of Turkey snagged the bronze medal after she registered a time of 43.70 seconds.

Otom also competed in the finals of the women's 50 meters backstroke - S5 event but she failed to win a medal after finishing at sixth place with a time of 44 seconds.
