Oriental Mindoro governor Humerlito ‘Bonz’ Dolor on Saturday, Nov. 11, confirmed that a state of calamity was declared in six more Municipalities in the province due to the detection of African Swine Fever (ASF).

In an interview with the media, Dolor said that the following Municipalities were placed under a state of calamity:

  1. Bulalacao
  2. Bongabong
  3. Naujan
  4. Bansud
  5. Pinamalayan
  6. Pola

There are now a total of 8 Municipalities in the province that are in a state of calamity status, according to Dolor.

In October this year, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Oriental Mindoro placed towns Roxas and Mansalay under a state of calamity due to ASF.

“No, hindi affected ang Puerto Galera, San Teodoro, Calapan, Baco, Socorro, Victoria, at Gloria. Pitong bayan,” he mentioned when asked about other Municipalities that are presently ASF-free.

Meanwhile, the Oriental Mindoro governor announced that Naujan is now under the “pink zone”.

“Maari na ulit maglabas ng baboy ang Naujan nang walang restrictions dahil ang kanilang rash ay inilabas at active na ulit. Ganoon din ang ibang bayan na walang ASF ay subject na ulit for renewal,” Dolor said.
