Oil prices have gone up at the arrival of the ‘ber’ months, after a significant rollback in the past week.

Shell Pilipinas Corp., Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Petron Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Corp. have advised the public on oil product price hikes as follows: Gasoline will cost P0.50 more per liter; diesel, P0.30 more per liter; and for kerosene, P0.70 will be added for every liter.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. have announced the same price changes, except for kerosene as they do not carry the product.

For all oil firms, these price adjustments are set to take effect on 6 AM of Tuesday, September 2. Cleanfuel however, will implement theirs later at 4:01 PM of the same day.

Last Friday, the Department of Energy (DOE) projected a price increase of P0.20 to P0.45 per liter of gasoline and P0.45 to Po.55 per liter of kerosene. The price of diesel was expected to either remain as is, or go up by P0.20.
