Oil price hike seen this week

Oil firms are expected to implement a price hike this week.
Based on forecasts, price increases for diesel per liter may range from PHP 1.90 to PHP 2.10 while more than PHP 2 per liter is expected for gasoline.
Meanwhile, Cleanfuel said the current running trend showed a possible hike of PHP 2.30 per liter in gasoline prices and a PHP 2 per liter jump for diesel.
This is expected to take effect in the week of Jan. 24 to Jan. 30.

In its price monitor updated Jan. 17, the Department of Energy (DOE) said the total adjustments in 2023 stood at a net increase of PHP 3.10/liter for gasoline, PHP 0.80/liter for kerosene; and diesel at a net decrease of PHP 0.20/liter.
