Consumers can expect higher oil prices starting tomorrow, December 17, as oil companies are scheduled to enforce a price increase.
According to the Oil Industry Management Bureau of the Department of Energy (DOE), gasoline and diesel prices will increase by P0.80 per liter, while kerosene will see a P0.10 per liter increase.
The DOE-OIMB cited the projected higher power demand for next year and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East as key factors driving the price increases.
Meanwhile, in separate announcements, Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. revealed that they will be implementing the said price hikes.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same price adjustments, except for kerosene, which they do not offer.
