OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David reported that the country's COVID-19 positive rate plummeted to 7.8 as of June 27.
David's updates on Twitter revealed that the country's positivity rate or the number who tested positive for COVID-19 had dropped for five days in a row, from 8.6 percent on June 23 to 8.2 percent on June 24, 8.1 percent on June 25, 8.0 percent on Monday, and 7.8 percent on Tuesday.
Based on the Department of Health’s (DOH) recent data, David reported that 297 new coronavirus infections were recorded on Tuesday night, with 63 cases from the National Capital Region (NCR).
With these numbers, David predicted that the country would see 400 to 500 new COVID-19 cases on June 28.
