

As of July 1, the positive rate for COVID-19 in the National Capital Region (NCR) was at 4.9 percent.
On Sunday night, OCTA Research Group Fellow Dr. Guido David tweeted that the NCR's positive rate the previous week was 6%.

The provinces where the positivity rate declined include Bulacan, with 5.5 percent from last week’s 6.7 percent; Cagayan, with 15.3 percent from last week’s 16.7 percent; and Camarines Sur, with 14.5 percent from last week’s 18.8 percent.
Moreover, Cavite recorded 6.6 percent from last week’s 8.4 percent; La Union with 9.7 percent from 12.4 percent; Oriental Mindoro with 5.3 percent from last week’s 8 percent; Pampanga with 14.2 percent from last week’s 18.3 percent; and Pangasinan with 15.4 percent from last week’s 18.5 percent.
Quezon with 5.8 percent from last week’s 9.5 percent; and Zambales with 6 percent from last week’s 9.5 percent.
The Department of Health recorded 423 new cases, bringing the total to 4,165,499 with 6,925 active cases as of July 2.
A total of 443 additional recoveries were registered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 4,092,090.
There were no additional deaths recorded, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 66,484.
