In less than a week, Filipino pole vaulter EJ Obiena bagged two gold medals.

Obiena cleared 5.92 meters anew on Wednesday, September 6, in order to win the gold medal in the 2023 NetAachen Domspringen in Aachen Germany.

The 27-year old pole-vaulter bested 14 other competitors including Sam Kendricks of the United States, who settled for a silver-medal finish after registering a height of 5.87 meters.

French pole vaulter Thibaut Collet placed third in the competition after clearing 5.82 meters.

Last Sunday, September 3, Obiena also won a gold medal in the 2023 ISTAF (International Stadium Festival) held in Berlin, Germany.

Obiena cleared 5.92 meters to rule the men's pole-vault competition.
