The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Monday reported that 11,045 families or 42,815 individuals have been directly affected by the persistently high level of unrest of Mayon Volcano in Albay province.
In its 8 AM situation monitoring, NDRRMC out of the total number, there are 5,775 families or 20,314 individuals who are taking temporary shelter in 28 evacuation centers in eight Municipalities.
The Municipalities are Bacacay, Camalig, Daraga, Guinobatan, Ligao, Malilipot, Sto. Domingo, and Tabaco.
Meanwhile, 408 families, or 1,427 persons are staying with their friends and family relatives, outside the evacuation centers.
The agency said officials have evacuated 1,120 livestock in the Municipalities of Daraga, Malilipot, Bacacay, Camalig, Guinobatan, and Sto. Domingo so far.
Various government agencies and non-government organizations have distributed ₱131.26 million worth of food and non-food assistance.
Among the assistance were family kits, family food packs, hygiene kits, sleeping kits, distilled water, and many more.
There are remaining ₱3.10 billion standby funds and prepositioned relief from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
