A councilor from the town of San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, was killed by a motorcycle riding in tandem on Thursday morning, February 8.

According to Grace Sansano's report in MBC Network News, the victim was identified as Roberto Carpio, a resident of Barangay Luyos, San Antonio, Nueva Ecija.
Based on the authorities investigation, Carpio was riding his motorcycle along Brgy. Sto. Cristo, San Antonio, at 7 a.m. when he was unexpectedly shot by unidentified men.
Carpio was shot in the head and was dead on the spot. He was immediately brought to the nearest hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.
Police said they are currently identifying the suspects based on the CCTV footage captured at the crime scene.
The report said three angles are now being seen, which authorities did not disclose.
Recovered items were bullets from the suspect's gun.
