

The National Security Council (NCS) will push for the designation of the Palestine military group Hamas as a “terrorist organization” in the country, National Security Adviser Eduardo Año said on Friday, Oct. 13.
In an official statement, Año said his office “strongly condemns the terrorist assault by Hamas against the state and people of Israel.”
“In solidarity with the people of Israel, we will push for the designation of Hamas as terrorist organization under RA [Republic Act No.] 11479 as a priority agenda of the Anti-Terrorism Council,” he said.

The National Security Adviser extended his condolences to the families and loved ones of those who were killed in the raging war between Israeli forces and Hamas.
“Together with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., we hope for a swift resolution to this conflict. We pray for the safety of the innocent civilians, and we offer our thanks to the Government of Israel for its efforts to protect our citizens,” he said.
As of this posting, the war resulted in the killing of 1,200 individuals, including three Filipinos.
According to the latest information from the Department of Foreign Affairs, three Filipinos cannot be located and contacted while 92 others are seeking emergency repatriation.
