Notice to airmen flying by Mt. Kanlaon issued by Civil Aviation Authority

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has cautioned pilots to steer clear of Mount Kanlaon, which is presently spewing magma, to avoid possible hazards.
The issued Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), restricting flight operators from flying within 10,000 feet from the surface. This is effective from December 9, 2024 at 11:42 AM up until December 10 at 9 AM.
As of the time of writing, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) has raised the Alert Level from 2 to 3, indicating a high level of volcanic unrest, with magma pushing upwards.
