Two of Jose Rizal’s famous novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo are now available on Audible as audiobooks narrated by Academy Award nominee Richard E. Grant.

The initiative to make the novels' English translation available on the platform was made by the veteran advertising figure David Guerrero.

Aside from being an experienced narrator, he explained that they chose Grant as he was 'highly engaging and one who can make lengthy period novels compelling to listen to'.

The novel was translated by his diplomat and novelist father León Maria Guerrero who authored The First Filipino: A Biography of Jose Rizal, León Maria Guerrero.

The two novels were originally written in Spanish.
