Nintendo, a renowned Japanese multinational video game company, is set to launch a sleeping tracker application called "Pokémon Sleep" this July worldwide.
According to Nintendo, the application is perfect for people who wish to fix their tiresome bedtime routine.
Once launched, the Pokémon Sleep can be downloaded from both Google Play and Apple Store.
To use Pokémon Sleep, users will only need to tap the record button and place their smartphones beneath their pillows and proceed to sleep.
Once users wake up, they will see the number of hours they slept.
“The longer you sleep, the higher your score in the morning, and the more Pokémon you'll see appear around Snorlax,” Nintendo said.
The application will also determine the sleeping styles of the user.
The sleeping styles are as follows:
- “Dozing” like Charmander and Rattata
- “Snoozing” like Bulbasaur
- “Slumbering” like Pikachu and Squirtle
- "Goofy sleep" like Slowpoke
- "One-eyed Sleep" like Venusaur
- "Droopy-eared sleep" like Pikachu
“You may even discover a Pokémon sleeping in a rare style you'd hardly ever get to see normally,” the Japanese video game company said.
“Each Pokémon has a number of different sleep styles, so see how many you can discover to complete your sleep style dex,” it added.
Aside from this, Nintendo said users will be able to play with Snorlax, the Pokémon who constantly eats and sleep, and Professor Neroli who studies Pokémon sleep styles.
The Japanese video game company also introduced Pokémon GO Plus +, a device that can be connected to the Pokémon Sleep app via Bluetooth.
Pokémon GO Plus is a small Poké Ball with a button in the center.
To use Pokémon GO Plus, users must tap the central button and connect this to the Pokémon Sleep app, then they can place it beside or behind their pillow and go to sleep.
In the next morning, users can track their sleep in the Pokémon Sleep app.
Pokémon GO Plus+ will be officially released this July 14.
