Indonesian R&B singer-songwriter Niki dropped her new single "24" on Friday, January 12.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post, Niki, whose real name is Nicole Zefanya, said her new single centers on the pain and joy of being 24 years old.
"24” out everywhere now. this song is about being young & world-weary, about nuance, about how life is a relentless blend of pain and joy all at once all the time, about knowing more than you ever have, and yet nothing at all," the 24-year-old singer said.

She released "24" two weeks before her 25th birthday on January 24.
In an earlier Facebook post, Niki said that she wrote the song to "synthesize" her early twenties, and share "the many humbling things" she had learned.
"24" is Niki's first single music after her sophomore album "Nicole" was released in 2022.
In September 2023, the "Every Summertime" hit-maker visited the Philippines for her "NICOLE" 2023 world tour concert.
In 2022, she performed in the "Head in the Clouds" music and arts festival held at the SM festival grounds, Paranaque City.
