MANILA – The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines announced that its new ambassador has formally presented his credentials to President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. at Malacanang Palace on Thursday.
In a statement, the Embassy of Japan confirmed that Ambassador ENDO Kazuya presented his Letters of Credence to President Marcos as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of the Philippines.
“This momentous occasion marks the official commencement of Ambassador Endo Kazuya's term of office,” the statement said.
Ambassador Endo succeeded former Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines KOSHIKAWA Kazuhiko.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Endo expressed his enthusiasm to further deepen the strategic partnership between Japan and the Philippines through steady progress of cooperation in a wide range of areas such as security, economy and people to people exchanges.

In return, President Marcos extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Endo and described the ties between the two countries as strongest it has ever been.
The President also expressed confidence that “our relationship will be elevated to greater heights with close cooperation under the leadership of Ambassador Endo.”
Following ceremony, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya made his way to Rizal Park, where he participated in a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines.
