Get ready as a new game is about to commence in the borderland!
On Thursday, Netflix confirmed that the hit Japanese science-fiction thriller television series "Alice in Borderland" will return for Season 3.
The international streaming platform confirmed the Season 3 renewal by dropping a 21-second teaser trailer on its social media platforms.
"Your guesses were correct: Alice in Borderland is officially coming back for Season 3! Keep an eye out for the Joker, because a new game is about to begin đđ," it captioned.
The trailer showed a playing card of Joker, seemingly signifying that more intense and risky life-or-death games await the central players.
"The game will now commence," the text in the trailer reads.
Netflix has yet to drop the exact date of Season 3's release.
The Season 2 of "Alice in Borderland" was premiered in December last year.
Following the second season's release, the mega-survival television series climbed into Netflix's Top 10 most watched list in more than 90 international countries.
According to an article by Hollywood Reporter, Japanese actors Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will be reprising their characters in Season 3 as "Arisu" and "Usagi" respectively.
In Seasons 1 and 2, players have sucessfully finished Club cards, Diamond cards, Spade cards, Heart cards, Jack of Hearts, Queen of Diamonds, Jack of Spades, Queen of Spades, King of Diamonds, Queen of Clubs, Jack of Clubs, Jack of Diamonds, King and Queen of Hearts.
“Alice in Borderland” is based on the popular manga entitled, "Imawa no Kuni no Alice" by Japanese artist Haro Aso, and the first season of the TV series debuted in 2020.
