Netflix unveiled the official trailer for “One Day” based on the global best-seller by David Nichols.
"It’s July 15, 1988 and graduation night for Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew. Although uni’s coming to an end, the two students speak for the very first time that day and go their separate ways the following morning,” Netflix’s synopsis reads.
“Where will they be on this one ordinary day the next year, and the year after that, and every year that follows?" it further reads, the rhetorical question reeling in as the series unfolds.
The two-minute trailer follows university schoolmates Emma and Dexter as they unravel their relationship in a span of 20 years.
“How is it that someone can go from being a total stranger to being the most important person in your life,” Emma opens in the trailer before the video rewinds to flashes of their moments together and stops on the day they meet—the night of their graduation in 1988.
The series stars Ambika Mod, known for her character in “This Is Going to Hurt,” and Leo Woodall from “The White Lotus.”
“One Day” is set to premiere on the streaming platform on February 8.
