The National Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Tuesday that 12 people were injured after the 7.4-magnitude earthquake jolted Hinatuan Municipality in Surigao del Sur.

However, it was noted that the office are still validating the reported casualties and injured individuals.

In the latest report that the NDRRMC received, a person died from the strong shake, which had triggered small tsunamis along several Mindanao coasts and Japan’s islands.

Moreover, it had been reported that the earthquake had affected a total of 1,874 individuals, equivalent to 455 families, with 173 houses damaged and 62 infrastructures damaged.
