

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said that the five reported deaths during Typhoon Egay's onslaught are up for validation.
"There are a total of five reported dead for validation; the additional four were from Benguet due to landslides, all of which are still for validation if related to Egay or Habagat," said Information Officer Diego Agustin Mariano of the Office of Civil Defense.
According to the council's 8 AM situational assessment on Thursday, two injured people were also reported, although this information needs to be verified.
There are 328,356 people affected by Egay throughout 11 regions, out of a total affected population of 89,639 people.
In total, 6,793 people were evacuated ahead of time from Regions 1, 2, 3, MIMAROPA, and Region 6, leaving 26,697 people without a place to live.
So far, The NDRRMC has documented 200 linked incidents from Regions 1, 2, 3, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Regions 5, 6, 8, 12, and BARMM.
